Today's Reflection
From Self-Knowledge to God-Realization
We discovered that true renunciation is not the abandonment of work but the abandonment of attachment. By offering every action to God, the heart is purified, the mind becomes steady, and the seeker gradually rises above the dualities of pleasure and pain.
This purification gives rise to Atma-jnana, the realization that we are not the temporary body or restless mind, but the eternal Self. Knowing ourselves as the soul frees us from many of life’s fears, attachments, and false identities.
The soul is not meant only to know itself, it is meant to know its eternal relationship with the Supreme Soul. This is Brahma-jnana, the realization that the same Supreme Lord dwells within every heart, sustains all existence, and is the ultimate goal of every spiritual journey. Self-knowledge removes ignorance about who we are and God-realization reveals why we exist.
Thus, Karm Yog reaches its fulfilment not simply in inner peace, but in loving communion with God. The purified heart that first discovers the Self eventually discovers the One to whom the Self eternally belongs.

तमेव विदित्वाऽतिमृत्युमेति नान्यः पन्था विद्यतेऽयनाय ॥Svetasvatara Upanishad
“I know that Supreme Person, radiant like the sun and beyond all darkness. By knowing Him alone one transcends death; there is no other path to the highest goal.”
Karm Yog begins with the hands, purifies the heart, illumines the Self, and culminates in the realization of the Supreme.
Atma-jnana reveals who we are.
Brahma-jnana reveals whom we belong to.
Together, they lead the seeker to lasting peace.
